Filed under Things About My Brother

September 2nd

Today is my brother’s birthday. This is the first time I haven’t been with him on his birthday. Probably the first of many birthdays when I won’t be with him…

I miss him. Stupid college made my friend go away.

Happy 18th birthday Dobbies! I love you,

:)

7th Time This Year

Well, I’m packing for the 7th time this year. Tomorrow we’re off to New York State to drop my brother off at college. Then we’ll come back to Vegas on Tuesday. In late September I’ll pack for the 8th time and go back home to Syria! Yay!

:)

Day 3

So today is day 3 of my mom and brother not being here. They left to the States early Sunday morning and won’t be back for a few weeks still.

I’ve been kinda busy with school and everything, so I haven’t been writing much. In fact, I should be doing history, biology, reading, violin, a history report, and Italian right now but…

:)

My Brother, The PM

My brother will be back today, yay!

I can’t think of much else to say…nay.

I’m a poet and don’t know it.

Missing My Brother

My brother left early Saturday morning to tour around Syria with some guests who came to visit. He won’t be back up ’till next Saturday. I really miss him. There were leftovers after we ate lunch today which is a thing that never happens if my brother is here though.

SAT and School

My brother is at ICARDA taking his SAT test. He has to be there for five hours and he didn’t get much sleep last night. :(

ICARDA is a agricultural research program here, but there’s also a school. From what we’ve heard, it sound like a good school. Unlike DCS (Damascus Community School). Well, I take that back. DCS is a good school – the kids who go there are just brats. Most of the kid’s parents are diplomats and are spoiled. Not only are the kids spoiled (and treat everyone who isn’t like them like dirt), but they also like to sing a different version of “We Will Rock You”. It goes: “We will, we will, f— you!” We have a friend who goes there who says that’s the most annoying thing.

Gtg,

 :)

So..

My mom was looking at scholarships the other day for Gordon. She came across a lot of really good ones (that had to do with Eagle scouts) and a really, weird one. The weird one is a scholarship for making a prom dress out of duct tape! Isn’t that funny? I can’t believe someone would offer a scholarship for that! It sounds fun though.. I want to do it..

Also, there’s a $10,000.00 scholarship if you’re related to a Free Mason. My great grandpa was a Mason so my mom might look into it.

:)

Here?

My brother and my mom will probably go back to the States this October to look at colleges. I’ll miss him…

But then again….I can party in his room! No, not really – I’ll miss him…and my mom…I can just picture her in tears…By the time I go she’ll be used to it…at least, more so…

Where? Why?

One of the topics (besides, chemistry, schedules and whether or not the Gordon should go to Thailand) is the ever pressing matter of which college my brother should go to. My mom would kind of like him to go to Houghten in New York State. My brother wants to go to St. Andrews in Scotland. I want to go to Italy and study interior design, but right now that’s not important.

As my mom looks at colleges she says that she wants to go. Today, while we were eating lunch, my dad said that it would be great for him and my brother to go to college together. “That would be so fun!” Then, he said that we should all go to college together and at the same time. OK. Good idea, unfortunately that doesn’t leave me a very long time to finish high school since my family wouldn’t wait for me.

It gave us a pretty good laugh, but then my dad had to go to work :( and so ended lunch.
