My name is Ibtisam. It’s an Arabic name that means “smile”.
I’m American, but I was born in the Middle East and have lived there for over 15 years (mostly in Syria).
Recently, my family and I moved back to the States (see post Changes).
I’m 18 years old and will be starting college in the fall. My major is interior design.
I love God, art and design, Syria, books, travel, the Victorian era, my family, indie music, Arabs, vintage clothes, history, cleanliness, fairy tales, and sugar gliders.

Yay! I found you again! When I first started blogging I came across your blog, read a few posts with interest and then, silly me, forgot to bookmark it.
I’ve recently discovered the whole tag surfer thingy though, which is where you come in again =)
Now that that’s out of the way, nice blog! I’m currently in Syria too.. only I haven’t been here for 14 years – which is in my eyes a HUGE accomplishment! Good for you! I’ve just reached the 2yrs and half mark and I think I’m bloody brilliant for making it this far alive. With my mind intact. Lol =P

I’m loving your blog! I’m also Syrian, but I’ve never really lived there- I do visit Halab in the summers though, and I absolutely love it.
